Rep. Adedeji Stanley Olajide, used the opportunity to clarify issues surrounding the distribution of goats as empowerment for his contents.
He said ” the excersice was not done in isolation, it was in conjunction with the Federal Ministry Of Agriculture and Rural Development and department of animal husbandry services as a community empowerment for indigenous females/ aged and widows.
The project was actually based on request and after due considerations we embarked on it, and I have no regret over that.
If you look at the importance of goat meat in human consumption, research has shown that goat meat is far better than red meat we mostly consume, and if you notice, goat meat is more expensive to buy in the market and very selected few can actually buy for consumption, aside all these, one cannot ignore the traditional value of goats in our culture as yoruba, in those days it was a means of socio-economic development and traditional business of aged mothers, till now if you go to the interior parts of our community you will see them living in same building with those women, they so cherish them and they feed on same food. However, now I am happy with the feedback so I beleive I have touched thier needs”.
On his primary assignment as a legislator, he said ” I have been very vocal and make my voice heard when it comes to issues of security and national development.
In the area of accountability, efficient service delivery and working processes i just moved a motion that concern Galaxybackbone Ltd, to digitalise our working processes, moving from old method to internationally accepted standard which is ongoing and I am very happy of what we are doing but, we can do more”.
