JUST IN: Commissioner Nominee Asiwaju Fakorede Becomes Certified Engineer

A former Oyo State commissioner for youths and sports, presently a commissioner-nominee, Asiwaju Seun Fakorede, has been certified as a full-fledged Engineer, having acquired membership of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) with Registration Number R62791.

This is contained in a Notification of Full Registration signed by the Registrar of COREN, Prof (Engr.) Joseph Odigure.

Through the COREN that was established by decree 55 of 1970 and amended by Decree 27 of 1992, now the “Engineers (Registration, etc) Act, CAP E11 of 2004” Law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the body has pronounced Asiwaju Seun Fakorede as a Registered Engineer.

As a member of COREN, Asiwaju Fakorede has shown to have more proof of standard of education having received adequate training and acquired standard experience in the field of Engineering.

Asiwaju Seun Fakorede who graduated from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University in the field of Engineering. The COREN certificate will provide him international recognition, increase his mobility across wide range, and one will be abreast with latest developments that stimulates career development.

After graduation from a reputable and recognized institution in Nigeria,as a product of Engineering course, the certification of COREN is very key because the Council is the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, a body saddled with the responsibility of regulating, coordinating, controlling and certifying engineers in Nigeria.

It is worthy of note that membership of COREN has the freedom to use the title Engineer before his name as the decree specifies the abbreviation to be used as a registered Engineer, henceforth the abbreviation “Engr” will be written before his name.
