…says they’re out for cheap recognition, an effort in futility
A group, “Otunba Seye Famojuro for Seyi Makinde beyond 2023,” has described the attempt by a faceless group to tarnish the image of the Seyi Makinde’s loyalist, Otunba Seye Famojuro as effort in futility.
A statement from “Otunba Seye Famojuro for Seyi Makinde beyond 2023” also said the named group, “Progressives Front (PF)” was out for cheap recognition for itself by riding on the name Otunba Seye Famojuro to gain attention.
The statement reads: “Our attention has been drawn to a statement from one faceless group, “Progressives Front (PF)”, attempting to tarnish the image of Otunba Seye Famojuro.”
“It is very unfortunate that these charlatans engage in rhetoric about the personality of Otunba Seye Famojuro by mentioning his name to gain attention. Otunba Seye Famojuro is a ‘‘perfect man,” who will continue to retain his ‘‘inflexible integrity,” in and out, never accepting or offering bribes.”
The group, however, described Otunba Famojuro as a distinguished, decent and truthful figure with high integrity any right thinking person could go into the jungle with.
“Does one needs to be a political office holder before he or she can contribute meaningfully to the success of an administration? We challenge the shameless group to approach anti-graft agency or court of law if at all they have any tenable evidence against our leader.”
“Otunba’loyalty to his leader and principal,Governor Seyi Makinde knows no bound. He is not perturbed, every government has someone who is a point man.”
“Seye isn’t responsible for the renovation and remodelling of Agbowo Shopping Complex, he is not a contractor. Oyo State Investment and Public Private Partnership (OYSIPPA) is in charge of the moribund complex which APC govt abandoned and left to wroth. Also, we found it laughable that a director in Egbeda local government was redeployed on the instruction on the governor’s ally, this group is myopic and lacks substance to feed the informed public.” The statement added.
