Otunba Seye Famojuro in a deft political move has further boosted the chances of the Peoples Democratic Party candidates contesting in Akinyele local government in the federal elections scheduled to hold Saturday, when he welcomed a notable All Progressive Congress ( APC) member Alhaji Tajudeen Ariyo and his supporters into the Peoples Democratic Party who has vowed to deliver Akinyele to the PDP.
Alhaji Tajudeen Ariyo in his remarks stressed that he is committed to work assiduously for the success of all PDP candidates in the coming national and state elections.
Speaking at the meeting, Alhaji Tajudeen Ariyo noted that Governor Seyi Makinde has done well and it’s only fair that one good term deserves another. He also reiterated ” I was a member of PDP, and I am happy to be back home, I have known the Senatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka, he is a man of integrity and I am sure he will deliver on his promises and make us proud” Ariyo noted further that governor Makinde has through “People Centred policies has increased the chances of PDP winning the next national and state elections with a landslide.’
Earlier in his remarks at the meeting held at the Ikolaba residence of Governor Makinde, Otunba Seye assured Ariyo that the Party is ready to accommodate and provide a level playing ground for everyone, while urging Party leaders in Akinyele to welcome Alhaji Ariyo with open hands to deliver Akinyele for the Peoples Democratic Party. He expressed his gratitude to Alhaji Ariyo whom he described as a well rooted Politician with rich antecedents
Among those in attendance at the meeting included Baba Akinsola, Hon. Commissioner for lands Segun Olayiwola, Oloye Aderibigbe, Hon. Taoreed Adedigba Executive Chairman Akinyele LG. Elder Gbenga Adeleke, Akinyele PDP Chairman and several Party leaders.
