….As traditional council reaffirmed their support, chanting praises for council boss.
The Oyo East local government legislative council, Kosobo, Oyo state has passed a vote of confidence on the chairman of the council, Hon. Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi (a.k.a Arosad) for his disposition of good governance at the grassroot level, giving priority to peace and security of the citizenry of the area.
The legislative council in a unanimous decision after a motion moved by the councilor representing Ward 09, Hon Ayesebotan Yusuff expressed satisfaction with the performance of the chairman since assumption of office, noting that the council boss has been able to carry everybody along in the discharge of his responsibilities aimed at peaceful coexistence and even development.
“We are pledging our total and unalloyed support to Governor Seyi Makinde and Hon Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi, who have been making our youth proud in terms of unprecedented economic growth, empowerment programmes, provision of basic amenities and sustainable infrastructural development to the nooks and crannies of the state and local level,” Ayesebotan said.
The lawmakers described the purported suspension of the chairman by some officials of the unscrupulous element and enemy of good governance as baseless, counterfeit and false allegations.
According to them, Arowosaye as a council Boss and a party man, is a real member of PDP up to date, has contributed in no small measure to the development of the party at the council and state levels and should be commended instead of being vilified.
The Councillors also explained that they will continue to remain the voices of the people, “by doing all that is necessary to ensure that people at the grassroots continue to derive the much-desired dividends of democracy at all times.”
Council leader, Rt Hon. Adeniyi Asimiyu, commended the commitment of the chairman to issues of security, ongoing roads construction as well as youth and women empowerment, saying the vote of confidence passed on him was to spur the chairman to do more for his people.
Asimiyu, then solicited the support of the legislative council to enable the chairman achieve his lofty goals for Oyo East people, as “mother of them all council”.
In another development, the Oyo East local.government traditional council reaffirmed their support and appreciate Hon. Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi for uplifting dividends of democracy at the grassrot level, adding that he has performed beyind their expectations.
The traditional council in a communique issued at the end of their meeting In a joyous mood added that their entitlement is given as at when due, while given kudos to the oversight function tour of some ongoing projects yesterday by Oyo assembly house committee on local government and chieftaincy affairs, ably led by Hon. Akintunde Olajide (AKT), explained that all the projects were at advanced stage of completion.
They noted the determination of the Arosad’s administration on the provision of basic social amenities to the people of the local government.
