The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has yet again reaffirmed their endorsement Hon Olukitibi as the consensus chairmanship candidate of the party as their preferred candidate in the coming local government elections in the state.
“The leaders and other stakeholders of our party have collectively aligned with and endorsed the incumbent chairman of Oyo West Local Government as the party’s consensus Chairmanship candidate.
“It is laughable and condemnable for anybody to just declare himself as the consensus candidate and the same person claiming he has written a letter to Governor Seyi Makinde on the due process that we followed in the adoption of our preferred candidate.
“The party Chairman, Alhaji Oloyo and his Secretary are just acting according to a drafted script by impersonating the party executives and our leaders in Oyo West in order to perfect their inordinate ambitions.
“The general public and residents of Oyo West should be reminded that this same set of people (Party Chairman and Secretary). They sponsored a story last week that was immediately debunked by Rt Hon Moroof Atilola that the party leaders had endorsed their candidate (Aloma) which was found to be true.
“Hon Olukitibi has performed excellently well in the last three years, he has transformed our local government with laudable projects.
“There is no vacancy in the council at the moment, others can wait for their turn.
