Ido Local Government Legislators have made the decision to reinstate the nine supervisory councilors who were previously suspended. This move comes after a series of events that unfolded within the council, leading to tensions and petitions against the council chairman, Hon. Sherif Adeojo.
TODAY SPLASH recalls that the supervisory councilors had voiced their grievances by challenging the council chairman’s authority and expressing a vote of no confidence in him. Additionally, they supported their stance with a multitude of petitions. As a result, the legislative arm of the council took action and suspended the councilors on grounds of insubordination and the creation of unnecessary political tension.
However, recent developments have taken a positive turn as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) State Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, and Ido Local Government leaders called for peace. In a significant step towards reconciliation, all petitions have been withdrawn, and a directive for peace has been issued.
