Mr. Benedict Akika, a top ally to governor Seyi Makinde today celebrates his special day in a different way.
While many would go lavish and engage in series of frivolities in the name of birthday celebration, Mr. Bene as he’s popularly called decided to use this special day to put smile on the faces of the core needy in the society.
Part of the items donated in charity includes, Rice, Noodles, Groundnut oil, Diapers and other toiletries.
While speaking to Todaysplash correspondent, Mr. Bene said “We are here to celebrate with these children because they have nobody to care for them. They are humans like us who lack love from others and that is why we are here to celebrate with them so as to give them a sense of belonging. ” The worst thing that can happen to anybody is to live in isolation. Living a life with no one to care for you is not easy. Myself, wife, friends and family members are extremely happy today to put smiles on the faces of these children. With these, we feel a sense of fulfillment.”
