Omo-Asoore Foundation on Saturday was officially launched and a sizeable number of widows, aged, orphans and people living with disabilities receive goody bags and cash support.
WThe foundation which is an initiative of Hon. Tijani Sakirudeen Adeola (Asoore) is a charity giving platform which will be used to put smile on the face of many needy in Kajola communities.
The event which was held at the Okeho Town hall was well attended by people of dignified personalities from and outside Kajola environ, some of attendees are Alh. Salawu Aloshe, Alh. Olukokun Moshood, Fnr. Director of Finance and Account, Oyo State House of Assembly Alh. Abubakr Gbadamosi, former Tescom Chairman, Hon Ebun Popoola, Hon. Muniru Elegbede, Hon. Isiaka Ladubu, Hon Wahab H.A and many other eminent persons.
The guest speaker, Mr. Azeez S.A, a linguist and the Head of Department of English & Literature studies, Ansar-Ud-Deen High School, Ilero, discussed the topic “Building An Ideal Society Through Poverty Alleviation And Social Security” He discussed the importance of selfless act of giving in building a society wherein peace and tranquility exist.
“In this seemingly untameable rise in surge of antisocial vices and criminal acts, one of the ways to curb these acts is by sharing the riches of the few privileged ones with those less privileged, that way, happiness and peace will flow across board, he posited
The founder, Hon. Tijani Asoore in his welcome address, reiterate the need for charity and the focus of the organisation in supporting the community across every sectors.
He said the organisation would be hosting programs that will address challenges in critical sectors such as Health, Education, Agriculture, poverty alleviation as well as youth empowerment and capacity building.
The organisation will also hold campaign against some social maladies such as Drug Abuse, Thuggery, cultism and engage youth to participate in community development programs which will aid a better society for all.
The beneficiaries of the program whom were randomly selected from orphanage homes, school of the handicapped, widows association and some selected aged people from across the eight communities that made up Kajola appreciates the founder and the entire crew of the Omo- Asoore Foundation for counting them worthy of such kind gesture.
