In an effort not to promote disunity among the party leaders and members of the People’s Democratic Party in Ibadan North Local government, the league of aspirants has to make clear their press statement issued yesterday when they were prevented from mingling with the party leaders and members at one of their peace and solitary tours to the Wards within constituency 2 of Ibadan North.
The aspirants had earlier accused the local government party chairman, Prince Seun Adelore of Sabotaging and indulging in Anti-party activities.
24 hours after, the aspirant issued a new statement, saying the issue was blown out of proportion by the press.
The leader of the league of aspirants, Hon Kazeem Oshoniyi said the press statement was misquoted out of context and therefore has been reverted to avoid unnecessary chaos in the party, he said;
“We wanted on our own in the interest of the party and that of our principal, his excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde to resolve and prove our sincere support towards all the candidates who had emerged from the recently conducted primaries by going on a ward-to-ward tour across the federal constituency to let the party faithful/members understand that we are with and in total support of all the candidates who had emerged legitimately from the primaries.
But unfortunately, we were prevented from addressing our people which got to us negatively, hence the appeal to the leaders of our great party to see to the action from proper briefing, which has been settled amicably. We, therefore,e, mean no harm nor intend to diminish anyone and all actions were for the good intention of our great party (PDP). Oshiniyi concluded.
