Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has officially opened the phase 1 of the newly reconstructed Olodo bridge for motorists and commuters.
Makinde who was represented by the Hon Commissioner for Public Works and Transport , Professor Dahud Kehinde Sangodoyin.
Motorists playing the Iwo Road to Olodo among routes have expressed excitement over the reopening of the phase 1 of the bridge.
Recall that Governor Seyi Makinde had on Tuesday inspected the Olodo Bridge being constructed to replace the old bridge which collapsed after a heavy downpour last year.
The bridge, which was opened to pedestrians about three weeks ago was officially opened to vehicular traffic today (Saturday).
Makinde equally gave the go-ahead for the contractor to commence the second phase of the construction of the two-span bridge.
