In a heartfelt message, Hon. Akeem Ayoade, the political head of Aare Latosa LCDA, extended his warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Hijrah, commemorating the New Islamic Calendar year, 1446AH.
Hon. Ayoade emphasized the significance of Hijrah as a time for reflection, renewal, and recommitment to the principles of Islam. He encouraged the Muslim community to seize this opportunity to restart and reset their lives, refresh their mindsets towards others, and strive for harmonious living. “The Hijrah marks not just a new year but a chance for spiritual rejuvenation and a fresh start,” he said.
Calling on residents of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Ayoade urged everyone to embrace peace and adhere to the teachings of the Holy Quran. He quoted the Quran to underscore his message: “Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves” (Quran 13:11). He stressed the importance of unity and collective effort in fostering a peaceful and progressive society.
Furthermore, Hon. Ayoade appealed to all residents of Oyo State to continue their prayers and support for the government of Governor Seyi Makinde. He assured that the administration is committed to taking Oyo State to greater heights despite the current economic challenges. “As a leader, I understand the hardships faced by everyone due to the economic downturn, but I believe things will take shape soon. Let us remain steadfast and hopeful,” he concluded.
In his message, Hon. Ayoade reiterated his faith in the resilience and strength of the people of Oyo State and called for continuous support and cooperation to achieve collective progress and prosperity.
