The Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan has granted bail to 12 individuals accused of killing an undergraduate student of Ajayi Crowther University, Jeffrey Akro. The case has been adjourned to Friday, February 21, 2025, for further hearing.
At an earlier sitting, the accused had pleaded not guilty to a two-count charge when the case was mentioned at the court in Awe, Oyo State. However, their plea and oral application for bail could not be taken, leading to the adjournment until today.
Presiding over the case, Justice Ladiran Akintola granted the suspects bail with conditions including a sum of ₦5 million and sureties provided by their parents.
The court proceedings continue as the case unfolds, with further updates expected.
