I am thrilled to extend my warmest congratulations to Prince Akeem Abimbola Owoade, the newly appointed Alaafin of Oyo, a renowned real estate investor and project controller at a Canadian government institution . As the leading NAPS presidential aspirant, I am delighted to see a fellow polytechnic graduate, who obtained his National Diploma from the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, and his Higher National Diploma from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, ascend to this prestigious position.
Prince Owoade’s achievements are a testament to the fact that polytechnic education can lead to greatness, and I am proud to see one of our own in such a respected role. I wish him a hitch-free stay in the palace and pray that God blesses his way as he embarks on this new journey. As a polytechnic product himself, I charge him to always put the interests of polytechnic students at the forefront of his mind, knowing that we are the future leaders of our great nation.
I have no doubt that his experience and exposure will bring a modern and global perspective to the throne, while still maintaining the rich cultural heritage of the Yoruba people. I am confident that Prince Owoade will be a beacon of hope and inspiration to our polytechnic community, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact he will make in the lives of our people. Once again, I congratulate Prince Owoade on his new role and wish him all the best as he begins this new chapter in his life.
