In the dynamic landscape of political progress, effective governance, and democratic participation, the character and personality of the individual elected to represent the masses at each political level play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our society.
For me, a political party serves as a platform or marketplace where various individuals with unique qualities and attributes are presented to the electorate.
However, in the current Nigerian political landscape, there seems to be an overemphasis on party affiliation rather than the individual qualities of the politicians.
Having been actively involved in Oyo State politics for the past 13 years, I have had the privilege of encountering numerous individuals with varying degrees of commitment and leadership qualities.
Among them, I have had the honor of working with and learning from exceptional leaders. Notably, my own profile includes being a member of the People’s Democratic Congress in Ido Local Government, Ward 4, Ologuneru Zone, where I am known as Honorable Babatunde Michael, popularly referred to as Professor Olubadan.
My experiences have taught me the importance of qualities such as love for the masses, fear of God, commitment to truth and harmony, exceptional leadership, wisdom, understanding, and selflessness in a leader.
In 2023, most of we the good people of Oyo State supported Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the presidency based on Governor Seyi Makinde’s advice, and we collectively cast our votes for him which took him to the seat of President of Federal Republic of Nigeria in Aso Rock.
Building on that experience and reflecting on the current needs of Oyo State, I am now pleased to announce my support for Engineer (Honorable) Pastor Aderemi Abass Oseni for the position of Governor of Oyo State in 2027.
I firmly believe that he possesses the vision, leadership qualities, and divine endorsement necessary to transform Oyo State into a thriving hub of prosperity, akin to the Dubai of Nigeria.
I Honorable Babatunde Michael (Professor Olubadan), I solemnly declare my commitment to utilizing my support, charisma, capacity, and capability to ensure that Engineer Aderemi Abass Oseni emerges victorious and occupies the Oyo State Government House, Agodi, in 2027 not minding the political party he might want to you to contest as his personality and person is beyond political party in my heart.
By the time 2027 arrives, we will be actively preparing for his swearing-in ceremony, marking a new chapter in the history of Oyo State. It’s settled: come 2027, power will change hands in Oyo State, and Engineer Aderemi Abass Oseni will lead the way.
