Friends of Deji Ola (FOD) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religion organization with the aim of positively changing the narative in our community through voluntary services which cut across health, education, welfare, information, development etc.
In the past, they have worked in partnership with communities leaders, opinion leaders, social influencers, government, donors and private sectors to achieve some of their aims and objectives. The convener, Comrade Deji Ola extends special appreciation to all lover, supporters of this great initiative and also pray that Almighty Allah will always replenish purse.
While placing premium on some of Friends of Deji Ola’s mission, special consideration was given to their readiness to positively change the narrative by making indelible impacts on our Educational, Health, Security, Environmental and Social Welfare sectors. This always trigger us to brainstorm on how communities will have access to adequate, affordable, standard health and educational services. This will be belief is achieveble with future oriented leaders who always help this vision with their little resources.
Our Vision is clear and centred on making Nigeria a better place to live for the low, middle and upper class of the society. Deji Ola emphasized.
Friends of Deji Ola (FOD) according to the concerned are strictly operating in accordance with their core values which include: Integrity, Accountability, Professionalism, Entrepreneurship, Creativity, Innovation, Gender equality, Respect for Humanity, Collaboration for Greatness.
On 3rd day of June 2021 (World Environment Day), they sensitized Public on the need to create more friendly, clean and hazzard free environment as this is the only way to have homes free of diseases.
On 26th June 2021, which is a day set aside for monthly Environmental Sanitation in federal Republic of Nigeria, Friends of Deji Ola in their large number all came out to participate in this voluntary service despite threat of rain. This is to commemorate world Environment Day.
The excercise started under the memorable bridge of Molete, in the ancient city of Ibadan, while they moved towards the popular market called Bo’de.
They later accessed the upper part of the bridge for thorough sanitation.
Memebers were seen sweeping the side walk on the bridge before moving towards the recently upgraded Challenge Area of Ibadan enroute Saint Annes School Molete Ibadan.
One good thing is that, the show of joy in their faces is unquantifiable and it can be concluded that they love what they were doing.
Apparently, their commitment can never be overemphasized as there was heavy downpour during the early hour of the day and each of the members that came was not discouraged to carry out the excercise.
It takes dedication to do service to Humanity without financial attachment. Their regular saying is “cleanliness is next to Godliness”
Our priority is on enlarging our Membership strength, Increasing the lives we touch daily, create employment opportunities for youths, support the needy, people’s living with disabilities, children without mother, autism centres etc.
They are also soliciting for more Supports from Public and Private sectors and well meaning Nigerians.
Rome is not built in a day, we want to specially appreciate all FOD members for all efforts they are dispensing to this NGO. What they are doing for Humanity will never go unnoticed. May you all positively reap from the seeds you are all sowing.
