The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has congratulated the former Governor of Oyo state, Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on his coronation as a beaded king by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin today.
In a congratulatory statement personally issued by Amb. Taofeek Arapaja but made available to journalists through his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim, he stated that Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja’s resolve to change from his earlier disposition towards the chieftaincy reform to the Olubadan traditional stool, which elevated the status of the erstwhile Ibadan High Chiefs to crown wearing obas, is a testament to Oba Ladoja’s genuine love for peace, progress and his commitment to the upliftment of Ibadan cultural and traditional heritage.
He stated further that the coronation of today has further confirmed that Ibadan people can speak with one voice and resolve any differences without any external influence whatsoever.
Amb. Arapaja equally lauded the Oyo state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for his efforts at improving the status of the traditional institutions in Oyo state which has accorded a great respect to all our revered traditional rulers.
Amb. Arapaja who is the Asiwaju Bashorun Atunluto of Ibadanland and Oluomo of Ibadanland wishes His Royal Highness, Oba Senator Rashidi Ladoja, the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland long life and sound health to witness the fulfilment of his heart desires as he continues to serve the people of Ibadanland and Oyo State as a whole.
