About 80 persons have been arrested during the week in Ibadan by the State’s Environmental Task Force for violating the environmental laws. This was revealed by the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Mr. Abiodun Oni who revealed that the Task Team apprehended offenders at Gate, Aleshinloye, Eleyele, Sabo, Apata, Iwo-road, Ojoo, Moniya, U.I-Agbowo, Sango and General Gas areas in Ibadan. A former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode was on Tuesday re-invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,(EFCC) following investigations into alleged document falsification Fani-Kayode alongside a former Minister of State for Finance, Nenandi Usman, is standing trial on alleged N4.6billion money laundering, before Justice Mohammed Aikawa. The Federal High Court in Abuja, on Tuesday, ruled that the banishment of the deposed Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi to Awe, Nasarawa State was illegal, unlawful and unconstitutional. In her ruling on Tuesday, Justice Anwuli Chikere stated that the restrictions placed on Sanusi after his deposition on March 9, 2020, on allegations of insubordination are a clear arbitrary violation of his rights to freedom of movement and personal liberty granted by the Nigerian constitution. No fewer than 60 suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Ogun State.
