Christian Youths in Politics Oyo State Chapter Inaugurates New Executives, Honors Key Leaders

To the Almighty God, the God of all gods, Lord of Lords, and King of Kings, we come to give thanks for making the Inauguration and Award Ceremony of the Christian Youths in Politics, Oyo State Chapter, a success on the 5th of July, 2025, at Assemblies of God Church, Obokun, Eleyele, Ibadan, Oyo State.

I, Hon. Babatunde Michael, serving as the Executive Coordinator for the Oyo State Chapter of Christian Youths in Politics, was also honored with the title of Ambassador during the event. Along with me, all other state-level executives were inducted and decorated with the same title of Ambassador.

During the program, I also announced my change of name from Babatunde Michael Oluwamayowa to Babatunde Michael Olowere, as I was guided by the Holy Spirit.

Hon. (Ambassador) Babatunde Michael Olowere, Coordinator of Christian Youths in Politics, Oyo State Chapter, expresses sincere appreciation to all co-executives and the team for their unwavering support toward the success of the event. He also took a moment to speak about the association:

Christian Youths in Politics is a dynamic organization dedicated to empowering young Christians to engage in politics and leadership. Founded by Ambassador Princess Kolawole, the organization has expanded beyond Nigeria with chapters in Texas, Canada, and South Africa.

Our mission is to support our Christian brothers and sisters in their political journeys, providing them with the resources and guidance they need to succeed. Our objectives include:

1. Organizing peaceful and violence-free political campaigns and rallies.
2. Using media platforms to support endorsed candidates and raise awareness about their policies and vision.
3. Encouraging Christian youth to actively participate in politics and support candidates who share Christian values.
4. Hosting prayer meetings and consulting church leaders to seek spiritual guidance for the election process.

Christian Youths in Politics operates across all 36 states of Nigeria, including Abuja, with state executives leading local initiatives with extension to 3 other country (Texas, Canada and South Africa). We have hosted numerous national conferences to engage young people in discussions on politics, leadership, and community development.

We recognize the value of collaborating with individuals from other backgrounds who share our commitment to good governance, community service, and positive leadership.

We are open to endorsing non-Christian candidates who demonstrate these values, provided they are vying for different positions than our Christian candidates.

By working together, we can build a brighter future for our communities and promote leadership that reflects our values.
