A member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State, Mr. Olusegun Ojo, has resigned his membership of the party, citing internal crisis and lack of transparency among party leaders at the local level.
In his resignation letter addressed to the PDP Chairman, Ward 4, Olomo Oloro Zone, Apete, Ido Local Government, and obtained by Today Splash Media Ltd, Ojo expressed deep dissatisfaction with what he described as selfish leadership interests that have eroded the values and principles of the party.

According to him, his decision to quit the party was not made lightly but became necessary due to the persistent internal wranglings that have crippled fairness and accountability in decision-making.
“Unfortunately, the party’s values and principles have been compromised by the selfish interests of leaders. The lack of transparency, accountability, and fairness in decision-making has created an environment that is no longer conducive for one to continue membership,” Ojo wrote.
He further lamented that loyal members who have invested time and resources in the party’s growth have been neglected without due recognition or compensation.

Despite his grievances, Ojo appreciated the opportunities he had while serving under the PDP, wishing the party success in its future endeavours.
