The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate for Lagos Central Senatorial District Prince Wale Gomez has called on INEC not to bow to pressure from the All Progressive Congress (APC) shenanigans of manipulating results to Favour it’s candidate, Lagos Deputy Speaker, Hon. Wasiu Eshinlokun.
Prince Wale Gomez frowned at a quick and unfounded media reports from some unprofessional media houses, alleged to have been paid to carry out what he called the ‘APC Propaganda Machines’, He said “I won the election with over 66000 votes, the largest of which comes from Etiosa”.
“While I was waiting patiently for the INEC Returning Officer Mr. Agbaje to announce the results, my attention was called to a hurriedly packaged news item in favour of the Candidates the All Progressive Congress (APC) Hon. Wasiu Eshinlokun that he has been declared the winner of the election with 131,828 votes, while I was apportioned with a mere 69,320 votes.
I’m calling on the INEC Returning officer Mr. Agbaje not to compromise the will of the people, the good people of Lagos Central Senatorial District has Spoken with their votes, he should allow the will of the People Stand, adding that in a democratic setting, nobody should twart the right of the people for their own selfish reasons.
“From our polling Unit calculations I scored a total of 192000 votes, While the Candidate of the APC garnered a total of 126000 Votes, how on earth can such figures be tampered with, he asked!!!?
He called on members of his Party and Supporters to remain calm and law abiding, adding that the will of the people who have Spoken with their votes can never be subverted by power drunk politicians, adding that Nigerians are wiser now.
