The Testo 0602 4892 is a magnetic probe for high temperature. It has a measuring range of -50 to 400 C (-60 to 750 F) with an accuracy of Class 2 according to the standard EN 60584-2. The measuring probe has a length of 2.953 in (75 mm) and a diameter of 0.827 in (21 mm). The 0602 4892 has a fixed cable length of 5.249 ft (1.6 m) and a magnet with an adhesive force of 10 N.

The primary difference between Type J and Type K thermocouples is the measuring range, and the sensitivity. Type K is the most common general-purpose thermocouple with a sensitivity of approximately 41 μV/°C. A wide variety of probes are available in its −50°C to +900°C / -58°F to +1652°F range. Type K wire color standard is yellow (+) and red (-). Type J has a more restricted range of −50 to +400°C, but higher sensitivity of about 50 μV/°C.
