The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has charged the newly converted ad-hoc staff of the council to be diligent, committed, and impactful in their new roles.
He gave this charge during the official induction ceremony held yesterday at the local government secretariat.

Welcoming the new staff to the civil service system, Hon. Olufade congratulated them on their successful conversion from ad-hoc to permanent status, describing them as the lucky few selected among many candidates.
“You are privileged to be part of this historic opportunity. Many applied, but you were chosen.
Let your performance reflect the confidence reposed in you,” he said.
The chairman appreciated the guest lecturer for equipping the inductees with essential knowledge about local government administration and encouraged the new staff to pursue higher qualifications to enhance their prospects for future promotions.
Citing the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Tajudeen Olanrewaju, as a shining example, Hon. Olufade emphasized the importance of hard work and dedication.
“He started just like you and rose through the ranks due to his commitment and perseverance.
You too can achieve great things,” he told them.
Hon. Olufade also used the occasion to express profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, whose administration facilitated the long-overdue conversion process.
“It has been almost a decade since such an opportunity arose.
Governor Makinde made this possible through his unwavering support for grassroots development,” he noted, urging the staff to always pray for the Governor’s continued success.
He, however, sounded a note of warning against redundancy, lateness, and nonchalance.
He directed all heads of departments to closely monitor the new staff and ensure they uphold the values of efficiency and punctuality in service delivery.
In his concluding remarks, the chairman prayed for a successful and fulfilling career journey for all the newly converted staff.
Speaking on behalf of the inductees, Mr. Kolawole expressed heartfelt appreciation to Governor Makinde and Hon. Olufade for the opportunity.
He assured that they would remain dedicated and make a positive impact on the local government.
Dignitaries present at the event included the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Tajudeen Olanrewaju; Chief of Staff, Mr. Hamdy Mustapha; Director of Administration and General Services, Mrs. Olusola Ejiade; departmental heads, other staff members, and the newly converted employees.
