The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has joined millions of illustrious sons and daughters of Ibadanland at home and in the diaspora to rejoice with His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Senator) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusamajere I, on his historic coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In his message made available through his head of media, Aderibigbe Yisahu, Olufade described the coronation as the “fulfilment of a glorious destiny for a man whose life reflects uncommon courage, resilience, and service to humanity.”

The council chairman noted that Ibadan North, being the largest local government in Oyo State, shares a special bond with Oba Ladoja, who has over the years demonstrated a genuine commitment to grassroots development, fairness, and inclusiveness.
“Kabiyesi is not just a traditional ruler; he is a teacher of patience, an epitome of humility, and a bridge-builder across divides.

He has walked the ladder of Ibadan’s unique succession system with dignity, never wavering, never in a hurry, but always with faith in God’s timing.
Today, Ibadanland is blessed to witness his ascension to the throne of his forefathers,” Olufade remarked.

He further stated that the people of Ibadan North are optimistic that Kabiyesi’s reign will consolidate the peace and progress Ibadan has enjoyed under the visionary leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.
“On behalf of the government and people of Ibadan North Local Government, I say congratulations to our Kabiyesi.
May your reign be peaceful, prosperous, and memorable in the annals of Ibadan history,” Olufade prayed.
