Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde has said that he is following the footsteps of his friend and Rivers counterpart Nyesom Wike in governance.
Makinde, who spoke on Tuesday in Rivers while inaugurating phase one of the Trans-Kalabari road constructed by Wike, said the Rivers Governor had performed excellently in spreading developmental projects across communities in Rivers.
The Governor said he was toeing the same path as Wike to sustain the pace of delivery of democratic dividends to the people of Oyo, who graciously reelected him for a second tenure.
On his part, Wike dismissed skeptics, who had assumed he won’t complete the Trans-Kalabari road project.
He said he sustained the progress of the project and ensured its completion despite the kidnapping of the construction worker for five months.
Wike commended Kalabari people for supporting the PDP and delivering winning votes in the three local government areas for Sir Siminalayi Fubara to emerge the governor-elect.
