The People’s Democratic Party (Ibadan North LG) Chairman, Hon. Seun Adelore has been accused of engaging in Sabotaging, Anti-party activities against the party
This was contained in a cominique signed by all the league of aspirants in constituency 2 of Ibadan North Local Government Aspirants Under the People’s Democratic Party PDP (Constituency 2) decided in a solidarity move for the progress of the party (PDP) to come together and make some moves towards the overall victory of the party at the general polls come 2023.
The league of Aspirant while speaking with our correspondent said “The move was necessary at this time for of the party, and that of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde second term bid, Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel towards an overall victory.
The candidates under the auspicious name of league of aspirants who in the spirit of party progress took it upon themselves to support the eventual winner of the party ticket, went on a solidarity tours across wards with their supporters, but unfortunately were bullied and embarrassed on the instruction of the local government party chairman, Prince Seun Adelore to bully and chase away all the aspirants from talking to party members.
Speaking on their experience on behalf of the league aspirants from constituency 2, Hon. Kareem Oshoniyi said, “We as aspirants had come to a resolution to leave behind our grievances and work for the party and that of the governor, but it was unfortunate that the local government party chairman, Hon. Seun Adelore has instructed all the ward chairmen not to welcome us to any of the ward meeting across the constituency”.
He further said ” On getting to the ward meeting the ward 7 chairman, Mr. Tope Akerele who restricted the league of aspirants from addressing the party faithful, said his acting on orders from above, when question as to who gave the orders, he said it’s the local government PDP party chairman, Mr. Seun Adelore, adding that whatsoever support the aspirants have for any candidates most pass through the table of the almighty Party local government chairman, while the ward 9 chairman, Mr. Peter Akubuike welcomed us to the meeting but insisted we will not address the party members due to the orders not giving from the local government party chairman, Seun Adelore.
Giving another account of what transpired at the different meeting in ward 7 and 9 was Hon. Olalekan Atilola (Olacash) who gave an account that the league of aspirants was extremely embarrassed and bullied while addressing the party faithful, which was all on the order of the Ibadan North Local Government Party Chairman, Mr. Seun Adelore.
Hon. Atilola in his words said, “All the aspirants as a whole left behind our individual differences, decided to commence a ward tour supporting our great party, party candidates and that of our principal Gov. Seyi Makinde across all the six wards in constituency 2, only to be dehumanized, and assaulted by ward leaders on the instruction of the Ibadan north local government party chairman, Seun Adelore.
Therefore, the league of aspirants from constituency 2 had insisted and pleaded with Governor Seyi Makinde, the local government chairman, Hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo and the state party executive to please call Seun Adelore to order from engaging in anti-party activities and other forms of sabotage with the party (PDP) in Ibadan North Local Government.
Adding that failure to call to order, the Party local government chairman, Hon Seun Adelore to order from anti-party activities which will cost the Party victory at general elections.
