The Special Assistant on Islamic Affairs to Governor Seyi Makinde, Imam Abdul-rasheed AbdulAzeez has embarked on a mission to ensure continuity in government and foster grassroots development across Oyo State. In a bid to garner support for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidates ahead of the upcoming local government elections, AbdulAzeez convened meetings wih imams of all local government areas in the state.
During these engagements, held in Ibadan today .(Thursday) AbdulAzeez reiterated Governor Seyi Makinde’s commitment to fulfilling promises made to the people, emphasizing the need for unity and collaboration among religious leaders to ensure the success of the government’s agenda. He sought the support of Imams and Alfas in mobilizing their communities to participate actively in the elections scheduled for Saturday.
Highlighting the significance of religious leaders’ endorsement, AbdulAzeez stressed the importance of rallying behind PDP candidates across all local government areas. The meetings served as platforms to interact and solicit for the support of religious leaders for the chairmanship candidates of the PDP.
