The presidential candidate, Dr.Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso defeated the APC candidate, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu,Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of PDP flagbearer and Peter Obi of Labour Party presidential candidate
However the result announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, showed Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, leading followed by Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Kano.
