The current lingering fuel crisis coupled with the cash crunch in the nation which have been described by the Presidential Candidate of the ruling party, APC, as a deliberate attempt with sinister purpose(s) has however become the Hallmark of the APC.
APC which has now come to be known as a political Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) which was birthed via the merger of various opposition parties in the country then and spearheaded by the Ashiwaju Tinubu’s ACN and President M. Buhari’s CPC was chiefly put together to highjack power at all cost from the then ruling PDP.
The APC did succeed in their planned highjack employing all forms of mischievous means, deceiving Nigerians with devilish propaganda and stampeding the people via electoral fraud. And Nigeria has never remained the same!
Insecurity which was one of the focal blackmail point in the campaign of calumny by APC in 2014 has seized to abate as the criminal elements have become bolder, stronger and more daring in their operations as Kidnapping has also gained momentum and flourished under the APC government.
It is as if the word ‘Economy’ never existed in the APC’s lexicon or how else can one describe the unprecedented economic woes the country has been suffering with the situation getting worse by the day for the past eight years of the APC Administration with all high inflations, free naira fall and increasing unemployment rate to mention but a few.
Our educational sector was not been spared either with paltry appropriation budgeted for the nation’s education and stifling of the key players in the sector of adequate funding thereby leading to frequent strikes and distruption of academic activities.
While Nigerians were already heaving sighs of relief about the nearing end to all the nation’s woes brought upon the populace by the gross incompetence and misrule of APC in view of the termination of the party’s eight years of hardship, pains, sorrows and tears, the ruling party came up with parting shots.
The questionable privatization of the NNPC was the first to be let out of the kitty, an ill-motivated venture which resulted in the current lingering fuel crisis in the country.
As if that was not agonising enough, the APC led government hurriedly announced the decision to redesign the naira, only to end up replacing the good quality old notes with inferior ones that have been made to be out of reach of the masses despite the deadlines given for validity of the old notes.
The harrowing experiences encountered by the masses of the country in this fix of new notes amidst the untold hardships experienced by the citizens in their daily transactions can never be over emphasized. Traders and Business Owners in compliance with the CBN directives have stopped accepting the old notes, even when the CBN was forced to extend the deadline, people are still very skeptical to accept the old notes.
However, while the law abiding citizens go through hell to access the new notes to salvage their business and buy daily needs, it may interest you to know that criminal elements in the nation somehow boast of having excess of the same scarce new notes as displayed in one of the recent viral videos.
Whereas one of the reasons given by the CBN for their ill-timed currency redesign was the need to cut of monetary supplies to the bandits and kidnappers. Now that same new notes which were never meant to be accessed by these criminals are at their disposal in surplus? What can we make of the whole exercise by the CBN and the APC led government?
Some observers in the nation have posited with very valid points that the outgoing APC government might intentionally be plotting to derail the county’s democracy by inciting the populace to anger and violent protests via the artificial fuel and new notes crisis.
One can not wish away the above position of pundits especially with the recent continuous outbursts of the APC’s Presidential Candidate who have ceaselessly accused the APC led government of wanting to sabotage his election, which invariably is the general elections.
This same party which employed all manners of avenues to gate-crash to power and still exploited the power of incumbency to retain same power for a second term is capable of anything sinister they posited.
Hence we appeal to Nigerians to be very vigilant and conscious of the questionable intentions of the rejected APC who are desperately looking for all means to prevent their eventual disgraceful ousting by Nigerians at the coming polls.
Let us ignore and avoid all their advances at provoking violent reactions from the masses in view of all their deliberate attempt at bringing untold hardships on the people while we tarry a while more for the APC inflicted woes to be stopped in barely three weeks time, when we shall vote this wicked government and the party out of power forever in our land!
Despair not Nigerians, Respite Is only Three Weeks Away!
Our Votes – Our Right, Our Voice, Our Decision!
Let’s Make It Count!
