The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State today, successfully held its State Convention at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan, where a new set of state executives was elected to steer the affairs of the party.
The convention, which was rancor-free, had in attendance the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, alongside party leaders and stakeholders across the state. Also present was the former Governor of Jigawa State, His Excellency, Sule Lamido, who observed the proceedings.
In his remarks, Governor Makinde charged the newly elected executives to work assiduously towards ensuring the victory of the party in all future elections, stating:
“The task for the new state executive members is to work towards ensuring the victory of our great party, the PDP, in all elections from the Presidential to the Councillorship positions in 2027.”
