Two hours before leaving for the WOCDIF centre, venue of the Southwest zonal congress of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governor Seyi Makinde’s deputy, Engr. Raufu Olaniyan, held a closed-door meeting with Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State at the Osun State government house for over two hours.
PDP members from the Southwest states of Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti and Ondo are in the state for the zonal congress of the party in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
TODAYSPLASH learnt that Olaniyan and Oyetola have been friends for long. Only recently, Olaniyan attended the investiture or Oyetola’s predecessor, Rauf Aregbesola, as patron of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, in Southwest.
Details of their tete a tete behind closed doors is not known as both Alhaji Oyetola governor of Osun state and Engr. Olaniyan did not talk to journalist after the meeting.
