In a special announcement addressed to party members, leaders, and stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan South East/Ibadan North East Federal Constituency, the party’s leadership has taken a decisive stand against recent instances of disrespect and defamation within the constituency.
The announcement, signed by Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, the Secretary of the Oyo State PDP, highlighted concerns over the growing trend of public ridicule and denigration aimed at party leaders, stakeholders, elected officials, and appointed officers. It emphasized the party’s zero-tolerance policy towards any form of abuse or insult directed at its members.

Expressing the party’s commitment to upholding its dignity and reputation, the announcement warned against the dissemination of derogatory content, whether online or offline. It called upon all party members in the constituency to adhere strictly to this directive, emphasizing the importance of maintaining unity and respect within the party.
The announcement extended the warning to media influencers, bloggers, and article writers, urging them to utilize their platforms responsibly to promote the party’s interests. It cautioned against any attempts to sow discord or division within the party ranks, stressing that offenders would face disciplinary action regardless of their positions.
Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke reaffirmed the party’s stance on preserving its integrity and emphasized that necessary measures would be taken to address any violations of the directive.
