The Oyo State Police Command has paraded Lamidi Mukaila, popularly known as Auxiliary, the former chairman of the Park Management System (PMS) Disciplinary Committee. Auxiliary was declared wanted for alleged involvement in multiple armed robbery, kidnapping, and murder cases in Oyo State.
Following his arrest by the Department of State Services (DSS) at his residence in Olodo, Ibadan, Commissioner of Police Adebola Hamzat announced that Auxiliary would be charged to court for his alleged crimes.
Recovered from his residence were an array of weapons, including an AK-47 rifle, four AK-47 magazines, 84 live AK-47 ammunitions, 19 pump-action rifles, one Beretta pistol, and seven cut-to-size guns. Additional items seized included 724 live cartridges, 25 cutlasses, seven jack knives, 33 mobile phones, a Samsung laptop, charms, two vehicles, and a cash sum of N3,450,000.
Hamzat emphasized the importance of public cooperation in combating crime, urging citizens to report suspicious activities. He assured that the police would act decisively against any criminal elements attempting to destabilize the state.
