A woman, Mrs. Nnenna Egwuagu, 29, has confessed how she poisoned her three-years-old stepson, Wisdom Egwuagu to death with insecticide (sniper) at Umulumgbe village in Udi Local Government Area of the State.
The suspect who was arrested by 9th Mile Police Division of Enugu State Police Command confessed that her action was due to her husband’s inability to take care of her and their daughter; and that she wanted the child to become sick so her husband could spend money to treat him.
According to Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) ASP. Daniel Ndukwe, the suspect allegedly administered noxious substance to her three-years-old stepson,Wisdom Egwuagu, thereby causing his sudden death.
The suspect has pleaded for mercy , begging her husband to drop the murder charge against her.
Should her husband, a Christian, forgive her in the spirit of Easter?
