The Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on People with Special Needs Hon Olufemi Timothy has assured that 80 Percents of People Living With Disabilities will support Governor Seyi Makinde in 2023 .
Hon Timothy stated this in a chat with Journalists in Ibadan on the just concluded sensitization programme and Permanent Voter Cards registration held at Saki city Hall Saki in Oke Ogun area of the state.
According to Hon Timothy,Governor Seyi Makinde has given people living with disabilities adequate attention by employing over 200 PWDs members into teaching profession and 33 Political appointees in all the council areas in state.
“In the last 3 years,there is no benefits that government of Egnr Seyi Makinde has deprived them. Even during Covid -19 pandemic people living with disabilities received palliatives from Oyo Government.”
“Aside this,Governor Seyi Makinde also approved the Sensitization programme for People Living With Disabilities on the importance of collecting and registered for permanent voter Cards which was done in all the geo Political zones across the state.”Hon Timothy said.
He appealed to people of Oyo state and Members of PWDs to reciprocate the gesture by supporting Governor Seyi Makinde through their votes so that the good work can continue beyond 2023.
Hon Olufemi Timothy said his office will continue to champion the course of people with Special Needs in other to ensure that live is more meaningful for them.
