The PDP Atiba local government party executives led by the party Chairman, Hon. Kabiru Ashamu, the Vice Chairman, Alh. Mustapha Aleshinladu, the party General secretary, Hon. Kehinde Aleem, Publicity secretary, Hon. Salam Abiodun, Women leader, Hon. Lola Alao Nurat and all other working committee members.
The party elders and stakeholders cutting across all the local government wards in Atiba, Alh. Tunde Agboola (BOT Chairman), Alh. Lateef Muraina (the former&Pioneer Atiba LG Executive Chairman), Alh. Ayo Alade (former Oyo LG Chairman), Dr. Adejumo Muritala (former Oyo state Commissioner for Youth and Sport), Hon. Lanre Oladimeji (former PDP state Treasurer) Dr. Lawrence Opadeji (former LG Chairman) among other notable leaders in the party have unanimously agreed to return Hon. Kafilat Olakojo for second term in office as the local government Chairperson.
The Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon. Salaam Abiodun while making the briefing on behalf of the party executives, expressed that the decision of the party to return Hon. Olakojo for second term in office was borne out of a critical examinations, widest deliberations and consultations among all leaders and stakeholders, consideration of competency, humility, humbleness, accessibility and the zoning factor in the local government.
“We realized that, Hon. Olakojo is the most best fit among all the aspirants, considering all verifiable factors, competency, zoning formula and the records of sterling performance in office.”
“During the last election, Hon. Olakojo was the one largely identified with the party activities, campaign support and funds, she has been very effective and responsive to party the activities, she’s in the good book of the party” he affirmed
The party Chairman, Hon. Kabiru Ashamu expressed the readiness of the party in supporting the continuity and progress, in that regard the second term ticket is hereby returning to Hon. Kafilat Olakojo to continue the good work she has already started in the local government.
“I’m announcing today, on behalf of the party local government executives, the working committee members, in the presence of our notable and highly revered leaders that, Atiba has unanimously agreed to return the most competent and qualified among the aspirants, in person of Hon. Kafilat Olakojo” the party chairman remarked.
The party BOT Chairman, Alh. Tunde Agboola while speaking on behalf of the elders and stakeholders maintained that, “Hon. Olakojo might not have scored 100 percent as Chairman in the council, but I can categorically state that, she has performed beyond our demands and doubts and thus deserved our unalloyed support and go for second term”
Hon. Azeez Ramon(Tabua), who spoke on behalf of all the ward chairmen also expressed their unflinching supports for the second term reelection of Hon. Olakojo, he established that, “no better candidate at this period can do it better than her, and considering the decision of the party bigwigs and stakeholders, the decision is made and we have resolved on supporting her for second term”
Other party executives and leaders in attendance were; leader Bode Alabi, Alhaja Akewusola, Hon. Mustapha Ademola, Hon. Lateef Ayobami, Hon. Wale Ajibade, Mr. Wabilahi Taofeek, Hon. Akerele Kehinde, Hon. Salam Wasiu, Leader Salami Oladejo, Hon. Sadiq Waheed, Hon. Adesiyan Akeem, Alhaji Hammed Mustapha, among other notable leaders in presence during the cause of endorsement.
