Member of the House of Representatives, representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Prince Olaide Akinremi popularly referred to as Jagaban has for the umpteenth time this year concluded plans for another training and empowerment programme.
This new capacity building programme is focused on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) training for youths in his constituency. This, Hon. Olaide Akinremi believes is also one of the major ways in which his constituents can achieve financial independence and self sustainability, considering the many opportunities that abound around ICT.
This training is to be carried out in conjunction with the National Board for Technology Incubation, at the Technology Incubation Centre, Samonda Ibadan, starting from Friday 3rd December 2021, and teaching areas will cover aspects on Web Development, Emerging Technologies like 5G and Management Information System (MIS) through Microsoft office among others.
According to a statement from Hon. Even with only a smart phone, we have seen youths make legitimate living for themselves”.
“From youths who have developed skills as multimedia developers (graphic designers, picture & video editors), to website designers, data analysts & programmers, software analysts & developers, social media marketers, business centre owners among several others, the opportunities ICT provides are numerous and extensive, and learning any of these skills in this internet age gives chances for individual survival of youths”, Hon. Prince Olaide Akinremi further stated.
