Following the judgement by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos that all marriages conducted by a Federal Marriage Registry are illegal, invalid and the marriage certificates issued by such registry and null and void, Nigerian talented singer Simisola Bolatito Kosoko who is simply known as Simi, has reacted to the news asking if she’s been fornicating with her husband, Adekunle Gold.
The Duduke crooner who got married to her husband Adekunle Kosoko popularly known as Adekunle Gold, at the popular Ikoyi registry in 2019, took to her twitter page to ask if the Federal High Court’s verdict, which declared marriages conducted by Federal registry including the Ikoyi registry, means her marriage is illegal and render her married status null and void.
Taken to her twitter page, the maple awards winner singer tagged her husband in a sarcastic tweet and ask “Have we been fornicating”?
Although Simi was obviously joking with her tweet and the question asked. However if it is established that the marriages conducted by Federal registry which Ikoyi registry is part of, then one might just assume that those that got married using the Ikoyi registry are yet to perfect their marriage rites, according to the law of the land.
