A Serving Member of Oyo State House of Assembly, representing Ibadan North Constituency ll, Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel has set to put smiles on the faces of his constituents through his ‘MEGA’ Empowerment programme.
Hon Babajide made this known while addressing Newsmen in Ibadan on Saturday, he said “Ibadan North is one of the largest local government in population and in size in Oyo State, this calls for extra work in order to meet up with the yearnings, demands of our people as lawmaker” Aside making Laws, it’s also our responsibility to touch lives any little way we can.
During electioneering I promised noting but the best representation and that’s exactly what we’ve been doing, it’s not been easy but we thank God for his kindness, we won’t rest until our good is best. truly it’s a Mega Empowerment but i can assure you that, it will only get better.
Recounting his sterling performance in the last 33 months as lawmaker, The young energetic honorable Popularly call the Jagaban of the 9th Assembly. Said “two bills, 16 Motions and still counting, we’ve been able to commission 8 Boreholes in the past, we will be commissioning another 8 tomorrow bringing the total to 16.
He itemized the empowerment materials to be, tricycle, Bikes, Deep Freezers, Sewing Machines, Head Dryers, Generating Sets, Grinding machines, Shoe Maker Machines, Fans, Clippers, Gas Cookers, Cash Gifts among others.
Hon. Babajide Maintained that cash gifts will be given to petty traders, market women and people who need cash to boost their businesses in his constituency, while 8 Boreholes will be commissioned on same date, adding that the popular Trans-Amusement Park will be the venue to host the program on the 21st of this month.
We are so lucky to have a working Governor who has turned our State to a working site, as lawmakers we can only compliment his efforts in ensuring that our state remains the focal point in terms of development.
Hon Babajide also use the opportunity to call on members of his constituency who wont be benefiting from the empowerment scheme not to be discouraged, he said “Tomorrow might be your turn, we are rolling our programs in batches this will enable us reach out to all the appropriate quarters.
He however call on all lovers of good governance to continue to support the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde in prayers and believe in his administration that is aimed at taking everyone from Poverty to Prosperity.
