The sad news about the demise of veteran actress, Folake Aremu, popularly known as Orisabunmi was broken this morning.The cause of death is not known yet.
The veteran actress who hailed from Olla in Kwara State died at 60 in her residence in Ibadan, Oyo State.
She is a Yoruba Nollywood veteran. She was well known from the 80s for her roles as a priestess, pacifist or the good witch in movies
The news of her demise has been broken by the President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN, Bolaji Amusan, popularly called Baba Latin.According to him, the late Orisabunmi died on late Tuesday, 5 January, 2021.Her death came four months after the demise of her ex-husband, Jimoh Aliu popularly called Aworo, under whose tutelage she rose to prominence in the film industry.

Orisabunmi was born on October 10, 1960, in Ilu Ola, Kwara state.
She went to Ilu Ola Primary School and Secondary Commercial College.
She never attended university.
The veteran actress was discovered by her ex-husband in the 80s while working as a teacher in Kwara state.
Her ex-husband, Nollywood veteran, Chief Jimoh Aliu (Aworo) had first noticed her and expressed his interest in her.
