The immediate past Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde, Chief Bisi Ilaka, has been entered as the consensus candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Oyo Central Senatorial District.
Ilaka, who is vying for the position for the fifth time, was handed the ticket during the PDP stakeholders engagement meeting with Makinde, held at Government House, Agodi, Ibadan, on Monday.
It was gathered that another senatorial aspirant for the district, Comrade Wale Ajani, has been penciled down as the state’s Liasion Officer in Abuja.
Ajani will replace Hon. Olayemi Busari, who tendered his resignation letter to contest the Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.
