The Oyo state Executive governor, Engineer Oluseyi Makinde, has been commended for retracing his steps on the thorny issue of Ona Ara national delegate which has generated polemics amongst party members loyal to the former FCT minister of state, Oloye Olajumoke Akinjide and the governor.
In his reaction to the statement made yesterday by the party chairman, Elder Dayo Ogungbenro that “they have been instructed by the governor that Oloye Jumoke Akinjide be adopted as the statutory delegate from Ona-Ara local government in the forthcoming national convention,” the former personal assistant to the strong woman, Mr Isiaka Kehinde described the news as riveting and one which shows valour rather than weakness on the part of the Makinde.
Quoting John Maxwell, Kehinde said “A person should be strong enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them and strong enough to correct them.”
He therefore commended Makinde for the noble stride and rejoiced with the people of Ona Ara local government that their wish to always see Oloye Olajumoke in the forefront as a worthy leader to follow doesn’t end as a mere utopia.
The statement therefore wish the state governor well in all his future endeavors.
