The senate council of University of Ibadan have approved the cancellation of the 2019/20 academic session and has agreed to the resumption of academic activities of 2020/21 session.
The institution will complete the run-off of 2018/19 second semester and proceed to resumption of a new session in february.It will be recalled that the march 2020 strike by Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) which lasted for nine month affected the university system in Nigeria as it affect their calendar.According to the new directive, the staff of the University are expected to use a week to process results of the concluded second semester examination and other activities relating to the results will be conducted before the 2018/2019 session formally ends on February 19, 2021.A new session will commence on February 22, 2021.
