Our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has eventually decided through the primaries ballot on who to fly our party’s flag at the 2023 gubernatorial elections in Oyo State, and it gives me great joy to congratulate Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin on his emergence following a keen contest with other aspirants.
Senator Teslim Folarin is a man of great capacity, charisma, political will and strength. He has over the years distinguished himself as as an astute politician, fine lawmaker, respected Ibadan chief and a true born Oyo State son.
He is a man who has also shown commitment to prioritizing the welfare and development of our people in Oyo State, and this is evident through the different initiatives he has employed in catering for the good people of Oyo Central Senatorial District till date.
I also acknowledge the efforts, and salute the gallantry of other aspirants who competed for the gubernatorial ticket. I am certain your decision to run for the governorship is borne out of your passion to ensure a secure, progressive and prosperous Oyo State.
I want to encourage party leaders and members across Oyo State to ignore those fanning embers of discord. We must not allow division, as there is an important need for us to embrace peace and continue on the path of genuine reconciliation.
Let’s all close ranks and forge ahead as one indivisible entity, as this is what we need to do in the general interest of our party and the good people of Oyo State.
