The Oyo Central Senatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka has described governor Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde the Executive Governor of Oyo State as a leader who epitomizes good and purposeful leadership.
Ilaka made this remarks through a Press statement, to mark the governor’s third anniversary in office. The statement quoted Ilaka as saying that ” Governor Seyi Makinde is a leader who epitomize good and purposeful leadership who has demonstrated high level of competence in administering the resources of Oyo state”
The statement indicated further that in the areas of Infastructural developments and welfare of the people the governor continues to set new standards, the rehabilitation of over 200 healthcare centers and before the end of the year it will get to 351 across the state, remodeling of the Lekan Salami sports complex, the light up Oyo project, the reconstruction of the Moniya-Iseyin road, Oyo-Iseyin Road, and several on going road projects in Ibadan and other parts of the state, also he said the prompt payment of salaries and gratuities are testaments to the ingenuity Makinde has brought to governance of the state in the last three years.
Ilaka stressed further “;Without any doubt Governor Makinde has performed excellently well in the last three years, when compared to his predecessors within the same time frame” the Former Chief of Staff to Makinde reiterated that with Makinde at the helms of affairs beyond 2023, the state will definitely witness unprecedented infastructural development.
Ilaka who is also the Ladilu of Oyo Kingdom concluded by calling on residents of the state to reciprocate Makinde’s laudable performance in office so far, by giving him and the PDP their overwhelming support in the 2023 elections.
