The Polytechnic Ibadan Student’s Union, Stakeholders have pledges support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s Re-election bid.
This was made known shortly after the combined students, stakeholders meeting held at the institution on the Thursday 16th of March.
In Statement made available to Newsmen in Ibadan, they highlighted the many midas touch the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde has brought to Education in the State, adding that Their Institution no longer go on strike, all educational Activities has received boost, a feet they describe as unprecedented in the history of Education in Oyo State.
They praise the Governor for constant release of subvention and infrastructural development his administration has over the years brought to The Polytechnic Ibadan, “This and many more has return our confidence, We have resolved within ourselves to pay a government who’s priority has been our welfare back by supporting and voting en-masse for him at the poll.

We bring to you solidarity greetings from the secretariat of the Students’ Union Government.
Your Excellency, The Executive Governor of Oyo State Engineer Seyi Makinde, with honesty and modesty we want to appreciate what you have done for the students and the entirety of The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
It’s notable that ever since you assumed office your administration has invested in the development of our dear institution The Polytechnic, Ibadan in many ways which we appreciate.
Your administration has given birth to strike-free academic sessions in our institution.
The institution has not been on strike due to constant payments of salaries and bonuses as at when due. It always gladdens most Nigerian students’ hearts when an institution is not closed unless on holiday.
In addition, His Excellency has continuously made available subvention for the institution, funding of accreditation of new courses in the institution, and construction of a modern staff complex in the institution.
All this is commendable and we appreciate you, sir.
Your Excellency sir, as the Students of The Polytechnic, Ibadan await your visit, we expect more good tidings
from the seat of Government.
We are very positive that on that day and throughout your tenure Your Excellency sir, you will give us good
tidings on the Infrastructural Project, Employment and Empowerment of Part-Time lecturers, Licensing of
Poly Radio, and all other requests that Your Excellency is already aware of.
We wish Your Excellency the very best.
It is in view of the evident development achieved under our Governor that the Student Union Government of the Polytechnic Ibadan, therefore, endorse His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde for a second term in office. Together, we are greater.
