Oyo state governor Engr. Seyi Makinde has disclosed plan by the state government to establish higher institution of learning in Iseyin.
The governor made this disclosure at the 8 Days Fidau prayer of the mother of the Chairman of Oyo State People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha in Iseyin.
He said official declaration for the establishment would be made in six weeks.
The governor said “When I was campaigning for the Governorship position, I made a promise here in Iseyin. I said we will establish a higher institution here. In six weeks from now, we will make the announcement.”
Meanwhile during the week, federal government approved the establishment of a federal polytechnic in oyo state to be situated in Ayede town, Ogbomoso.
