Minister of State for Environment and Ecological Management, Dr. Iziaq Salako, Senator Olamilekan Adeola representing Ogun West, and House of Representatives member Hon. Tunji Akinosi were among the prominent figures who convened at the Isabo court venue for the Ogun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
The Three-man Panel, led by Justice Hamidu Kunaza, is poised to deliver a crucial judgement on the petition brought forward by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and their governorship candidate, Ladi Adebutu, against the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Dapo Abiodun.
In a show of solidarity, the politicians, all affiliated with the APC, attended the court proceedings along with Governor Abiodun’s Deputy, Mrs. Noimot Salako-Oyedele. The court was graced with the presence of Senator Adeola, also known as Yayi, who arrived promptly at 7:55 am, followed by Dr. Salako.
Additionally, other aides of Governor Abiodun, including commissioner designates and the Deputy Chief of Staff, Oluwatoyin Taiwo, were present to support their leader.
Meanwhile, heightened security measures were evident at the Isabo venue in Abeokuta, while access to the court premises was restricted for many journalists seeking coverage of the event.
