The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, faces criticism from Senator Ali Ndume and others for unilaterally approving the passage of executive bills without seeking input from fellow senators.
In a video released on Thursday, Ndume expressed his disapproval of Akpabio’s approach, highlighting the lack of formal reading and members’ contributions in the process.
Senator Ogoshi Onawo of the Peoples Democratic Party, representing Nasarawa State, also voiced concerns about the hasty passage of sensitive bills, emphasizing the importance of informed contributions from all senators.
In response, Akpabio defended the bills, asserting that if they serve the country’s best interests, history will vindicate his decisions.
