Pop star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and his wife, Chioma, have become proud parents of a set of twins. The couple was spotted in a viral video stepping out of a hospital in the United States, cradling their newborns.
Davido, overwhelmed with joy, shared pictures of the heartwarming moment outside the hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. However, the singer expressed disappointment with his friend, Samklef, for allegedly leaking the video.
This joyous event comes after a tragic loss for Davido and Chioma, as their three-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, passed away last year due to a drowning incident.
The couple had previously requested that fans refrain from circulating old images of them in the hospital during their son’s birth.
In a different part of Nigeria, Wizkid, another renowned Nigerian superstar, laid his mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun, to rest.
Mrs. Balogun passed away in London on August 18, 2023. Wizkid, who had been in a period of silence and mourning, made his first public appearance at a candlelight procession held in honor of his mother.
Emotionally, he expressed profound grief and the pain he feels at the loss. Wizkid spoke of the deep love he had for his mother and how her absence has left him feeling lost.
Wizkid’s upbringing was in a polygamous home, with his father having three wives. His parents practiced different religions, with his father being Muslim and his mother Christian.
